Jimmy Santos visits 'E.A.T': 'I still love you all three times a day'
Jimmy Santos surprised the "legit Dabarkads" as he appeared on the Oct. 14 episode of noontime show E.A.T.
During its Gimme 5 segment, the comedian played the role of "Papa Ethan," originally portrayed by Wally Bayola, to wish Joey de Leon a happy birthday.
"Happy birthday! Alam mo naman hindi kita makalimutan!" he told Joey. "I'd like to greet you a happy, happy, happy birthday!"
"Whatever happens in this country, I still love you all three times a day," he said, referring to the E.A.T. hosts.
Santos also gave a special mention to all the viewers of the noontime program.
"Especially those people surrounding [the] vicinity, I miss you all. Thank you very much. Still here. Eat Bulaga! is here to stay!" Jimmy said.
Vic and Joey corrected him for accidentally mentioning the GMA show. "Mali, mali! It's E.A.T.," he said.
"Wala ka pa ring kupas," Vic and Joey said.
"E.A.T. is here to stay! Okay? Thank you so much!" Jimmy added.
TVJ announced they have parted ways with the EB producers last May 31 after rumors about an Eat Bulaga! rebranding—and the trio getting fired—broke out amid financial losses. After the announcement, staff members, including hosts, writers, sales, production, and cameramen, tendered their resignation.
Eat Bulaga! went on with its live airing and introduced a new set of hosts on June 5, while TVJ and other Dabarkads joined TV5 and aired their new show E.A.T. on July 1.
Jimmy served as one of the hosts of Eat Bulaga! for several years. His last TV appearance was in the Bawal Judgmental episode of Eat Bulaga! in December 2021.
Now based in Canada, the local personality gives life updates on his YouTube channel "Jimmy Saints" with 699,000 subscribers, as of writing.
