'Eat Bulaga!' reveals new hosts, including Paolo Contis, Alexa Miro, Legaspi twins
Eat Bulaga! has introduced new hosts following TVJ (Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon)'s announcement that they're parting ways with producer TAPE Inc. last May 31.
On its June 5 episode, Dabarkads were greeted by Paolo Contis, Buboy Villar, Betong Sumaya, Alexa Miro, Cassy Legaspi, and Mavy Legaspi. P-Pop girl group XOXO also delivered a performance at the noontime show.
TAPE Inc. in a statement previously said the show will have a new set of hosts so it can continue serving Dabarkads.
Kapuso Global Friends, a fan page dedicated to GMA entertainment news with over 37,000 followers, shared a photo of the hosts as seen on live television.
The Philippine STAR also shared more snaps of today's episode in a Facebook post.
“Dabarkads, tara, Eat Bulaga na!" Paolo said.
Hours ahead of the episode, Alexa shared a photo of six microphone stands, alluding to their group in her Instagram stories.
Rumors of an Eat Bulaga! rebranding—and TVJ getting fired—broke out in April.
After TVJ's announcement, Eat Bulaga! staff members, including hosts, writers, sales, production, and cameramen, tendered their resignation. The trio is reportedly transferring to TV5.
Eat Bulaga! episodes, meanwhile, are still accessible on its official Facebook page, while TVJ said they are continuing the show "in whatever form."
