LOOK: Laureen Uy is a stunning beach bride in a Vivienne Westwood gown
Laureen Uy is a true head-turner in her form-fitting wedding gown.
After tying the knot with her longtime partner Miggy Cruz in a gorgeous sunset wedding in Coron, Palawan last April 8, the fashion and travel content creator blessed her Instagram followers with a closer look at her lovely attire.
Her dress is a corseted Vivienne Westwood Vaida dress that she found in Hong Kong. The 100% silk grown is refined in its shape and construction to achieve an elevated look, wrapping fabric across the bodice and hips.
In her recent vlog on her YouTube channel, Laureen shared her "heart really fell in love with the dress."
"It's so beautiful. When I tried it on, I felt my best, I felt confident, I felt sexy, I felt beautiful, and it was also perfect for a beach wedding, in my opinion," she said.
She paired her outfit with luxurious diamond earrings and rings from JMA Jewelry and a beautiful triple-strand pearl necklace from Vivienne Westwood that she borrowed from her sister Liz Uy.
"We saw this together in New York City and I told her to buy it because it looked great on her. After she got it, I told her that’s going to be something borrowed for my wedding," Laureen joked.
For her beach wedding, she opted for a pair of elegant Jimmy Choo chunky heels. The practical choice, she revealed, allowed her to navigate the sand with ease.
In her vlog, Laureen highlighted how one should not rush in looking for their ideal outfit on their big day.
"Sometimes, may makikita tayong maganda and then you never know pala, in the next few months, may makikita ka pang mas gusto mo," she said.
"What I did is I really took pictures of the dresses that I wanted, including the bridal shops," she added. "But syempre, hindi naman 'yung super take your time na one week na lang before your wedding day, wala ka pa ring dress."
She advised her followers to allot five to six months to finalize their dress before the wedding and set a budget for it.
Laureen and Miggy have been together since 2016. The pair became engaged at the Joshua Tree National Park in California on May 17.
Their wedding was attended by some big names including Anne Curtis, her husband Erwan Heussaff, and their daughter Dahlia, actress Kaila Estrada, the Blogger Besties Nicole Andersson, Patricia Prieto, Lissa Kahayon, Kryz Uy, and Camille Co.
