Celebrity couples who tied the knot in 2024
While headlines may be dominated by cheating scandals and celebrity breakups, 2024 has also been a year filled with heartwarming tales of love and commitment.
From intimate courthouse ceremonies to lavish eight-figure lavish extravaganzas, this year's celebrity weddings have served as a reminder that true love still exists.
Check out the Filipino personalities who found their forever this year below.
Angelica Panganiban-Gregg Homan
Four months after they tied the knot in California, USA, Angelica Panganiban and non-showbiz partner Gregg Homan held a destination wedding at the Inara Resort in Siargao last April 20.
The star-studded affair was attended by her best friends Kim Chiu and Bela Padilla, as well as Andoy Ranay, Anne Curtis, couple Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos, Dr. Aivee Aguilar Teo, Liz Uy, and Kean Cipriano.
John Prats, one of Angelica's dearest friends since their stint in a teen-oriented show in the early 2000s, served as the ringbearer while Angelica and Gregg's daughter, Amila, was the flower girl.
Laureen Uy-Miggy Cruz
Laureen Uy and Miggy Cruz took their "Homie to Hubby" journey to new heights with not one, but two wedding celebrations—an intimate affair in Manila and a more grand gathering in Coron, Palawan.
Last March, the Hungry Homies founders held a church wedding at St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori Parish, followed by a reception at the Manila Peninsula. Subsequently, on April 8, they exchanged vows with their loved ones at Club Paradise.
For the Palawan wedding, Laureen got dressed in a corseted Vivienne Westwood Vaida dress that she found in Hong Kong. She paired her outfit with luxurious diamond earrings and rings from JMA Jewelry, and a beautiful triple-strand pearl necklace from Vivienne Westwood that she borrowed from her sister Liz Uy.
Meanwhile, Miggy wore a barong designed by RJ Santos of Randolf Clothing. It was a custom piece that depicted a roadmap of the couple's travels.
Charlie Dizon-Carlo Aquino
Despite their controversial relationship, Kapamilya stars Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon surprised everyone by getting married at Alta Veranda, Silang, Cavite on June 9.
"I want to thank everyone who joined us and supported us on this journey. Tulad ng sinabe ko sa vows mahal @jose_liwanag, I am proud that we are here today with people who genuinely love us. And that's what truly matters, celebrating our love with the people who mean the most," Charlie said in a post.
Several ABS-CBN executives were at the wedding as principal sponsors, including CEO and president Carlo Katigbak, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, Board of Directors member Charo Santos-Concio, and Star Magic Head Laurenti Dyogi.
Some of their friends in showbiz also made up the entourage like Sue Ramirez, Belle Mariano, Elisse Joson, and Loisa Andalio.
In January 2023, Carlo confirmed in an interview with ABS-CBN that he was in the "getting to know" stage with Charlie. This came after they were spotted vacationing in La Union together. Meanwhile, the actress later confirmed she was dating the actor in July 2023 when she appeared on TV5's Gud Morning Kapatid.
Michelle Madrigal-Kevin Neal
Love is sweeter the second time around for Michelle Madrigal.
The former actress married Kevin Neal, her “partner in Christ,” “business partner,” and the “best stepdad” to her daughter, last July 22. They had a courthouse wedding at the Travis County Courthouse in Texas, USA.
"I prayed for a lifetime partner who honors God above all. A Christ-centered relationship is a true blessing from above. Your gentle heart, calm demeanor, and wisdom make it so easy to follow your lead. Thank you for always prioritizing my needs and treating Anika as your own. I love doing life with you and look forward to having more children together," she said in a post.
Angeline Quinto-Nonrev Daquina
It's a happy ending for singer Angeline Quinto and non-showbiz partner Nonrev Daquino who got married in Quiapo Church last April 25. It was followed by a reception held at the Maynila Ballroom of the Manila Hotel.

Manalo, among others.
Angeline and Nonrev have been in a relationship since 2020. They welcomed their first child Sylvio in April 2022.
Rumors of an engagement began in July last year when Angeline sported a ring in a family photo. The happy couple officially confirmed their engagement two months later in September.
Cong TV-Viy Cortez
Every couple deserves the wedding of their dreams—even if it means spending eight digits.
Content creators Cong and Viy Cortez tied the knot in a dreamy ceremony on June 17 at the L'Annunziata Parish in Muntinlupa City.
Viy wore a Swarovski-filled gown with a sweetheart neckline that extends to its off-shoulder straps and is worth around P2.5 million.
On the other hand, Cong wore a black Francis Libiran suit that had the Team Payaman logo, with black peso signs on the sleeves.
According to their event planner Princess Anne Ramos, the couple “spent 8 digits on their wedding.”
“Yet they still wanted to acknowledge everyone who worked on their wedding, even though some might think we’re ex-deals. The couple insisted on tagging us all!” she continued.
Their wedding came two years after announcing their engagement and welcoming their first child, Zeus Emmanuel, whom they fondly call “Kidlat.”
Mika dela Cruz- Nash Aguas
From Goin' Bulilit to forever.
Former child stars Nash Aguas and Mika Dela Cruz got married on May 18 in a simple yet gorgeous ceremony at Adriano's Events Place and Prayer Garden in Tagaytay City.
Reflecting their shared faith, Mika stunned in a Julianne Syjuco gown and a flowing veil. The veil she wore, which featured the embroidered initials N (heart) M and an inscription of a Bible verse, Proverbs 5:18, reading, "Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth." Nash looked dapper in a three-piece white wedding suit by Paulo Lazaro. The cuff of his sleeve was also embroidered with the same Bible verse as Mika's veil.
Nash and Mika have been officially together since October 2018 after more than a year of courtship.
Despite only making it official that year, the couple's romance began during their Goin' Bulilit days when Nash declared his long-term crush on Mika.
Robi Domingo-Maiqui Pineda

Some of the celebrities who attended the wedding were Kathryn Bernardo, Bianca Gonzalez, Enchong Dee, Joshua Garcia, Darren Espanto, and Melai Cantiveros.
The couple was initially planned to get married in 2023, but due to Maqui's health condition, they had to postpone the ceremony.
It was in August 2023 when Maqui shared her battle with dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness and skin rash.
Last Dec. 15, she announced that she is now in clinical remission.
"Clinical remission means that the signs and symptoms of my autoimmune disease are now barely detectable, even if the disease may not be completely cured," Maiqui wrote. "In short—I"M OKAY!"
"I'm beyond grateful for this gift and for the prayers and support that helped me keep going. Please know that it made a difference so THANK YOU!" she said.
