It was a love-filled 2024 for couples in local and international showbiz.
Many familiar faces made this year extra special by taking their romance to the next level and putting a ring on it. Some have shown how their love stood the test of time, while others proved that there’s no need to wait so long for The One.
Here’s a roundup of celebrities who got engaged in 2024.
Both Nuttapong and Newyear Kitiwhut
Both Nuttapong officially popped the question to Newyear Kitiwhut in June after Thailand's approval of the marriage equality bill. They first got engaged in September 2023.
Both proposed to Newyear, according to the latter, who shared a part of their conversation on Instagram.
"Will you marry me?" Both got down on one knee and asked Newyear. To which, Newyear replied, "I said 'yes' from the first day we met."
Newyear and Both starred in several Thai BL (Boys' Love) shows like Top Secret Together, which aired in 2021.
Ryan Bang and Paola Grace Huyong
Ryan Bang and his non-showbiz girlfriend Paola Grace Huyong also got engaged in June.
The It's Showtime host was seen kneeling down on one knee and asking Paola, "Will you marry me?" in an Instagram story posted by one of his friends.
Ryan first revealed he was in a relationship in an episode of the noontime show in August. Two months later, Paola's identity was revealed to the public after Ryan's co-hosts shared photos of them from their Hong Kong trip.
Zeinab Harake and Ray Parks Jr.
Ray Parks Jr. had a grand marriage proposal to Zeinab Harake in July after taking photos of himself with the engagement ring at random times without the latter noticing.
Zeinab shared photos from the special affair and wrote "Yes" in the caption, adding a heart emoji.
The pair confirmed they were dating in 2023. They're taking care of Zeinab’s children: Bia (with her former partner, rapper Skusta Clee) and her adopted son, Lucas.
Emma Roberts and Cody John
In July, Emma Roberts revealed she's taking her relationship to the next level with Cody John after dating for two years.
John hard-launched their relationship in 2022 when he posted a photo of them sharing a kiss on Instagram. Roberts, meanwhile, shared a snap of them holding hands on New Year's Eve 2022.
They reportedly met through common friends.
Michele Gumabao and Aldo Panlilio
On their eighth anniversary, Michele Gumabao and Aldo Panlilio got engaged.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2020 2nd runner-up and athlete gave a look at her diamond ring in a post in August, which she captioned with, "8 to ♾️ with you."
The couple is into sports. Michele is a volleyball star, while Aldo is a basketball player and strength and conditioning coach who owns a gym in the metro.
Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles
After dating for over 10 years, Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles have agreed to spend the rest of their lives together.
Jerald proposed to Kim in August at PETA Theater Center, where they first met and worked together as theater actors. He previously tried to pop the question to her in February but decided to postpone it to a later date as Kim was not feeling well at the time.
Kim's engagement ring was made even more special as it was Jerald who made it with the help of jewelry brand, Radiant Lux Jewelry.
Nina Dobrev and Shaun White
Actress Nina Dobrev got engaged to Olympic snowboarder Shaun White in New York this year. They announced the good news in their respective Instagram pages on Oct. 31.
After meeting at an event organized by motivational speaker Tony Robbins, the couple began dating in 2019 and became Instagram official the following year.
Leila Alcasid and Curtismith
Leila Alcasid announced her engagement to Mito Fabie, also known as Curtismith, in September.
The eldest daughter of OPM icon and comedian Ogie Alcasid shared the life update with a photo of her showing the ring and him kissing her on the cheek, calling it "the most special anniversary gift."
She announced that she's with Mito in 2019.
Kiefer Ravena and Diana Mackey
Kiefer Ravena shared that he's engaged to Diana Mackey on Oct. 31, just a few days after making their relationship Instagram official on Oct. 27.
The professional basketball player shared an October photo dump, with the last photo showing a couple picture where the beauty queen can be seen wearing a ring on her finger.
"An October to Remember," he captioned his IG carousel.
Dating rumors between the two started when they were spotted together in Siargao in July.
Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen
Wedding bells are also ringing for Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen, as announced by the couple in November.
Josh proposed to Hailee with an arch of pink flowers in the background as well as candles around them, giving the entire place a romantic feel. The singer then said yes and leaned in for a kiss.
Their engagement came after over a year of dating.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco got engaged just two weeks before Christmas.
The singer and Only Murders in the Building actress posted a photo of her engagement ring on Dec. 11 along with a photo of her and her new fiancé getting cozy.
Selena and Benny first worked together in March 2019 on the song I Can't Get Enough. It was followed with another collaboration, Single Soon, in 2023.
They confirmed they're dating in December 2023.
