Ryan Bang engaged to girlfriend Paola Grace Huyong
Wedding bells are ringing for Ryan Bang and his non-showbiz girlfriend Paola Grace Huyong!
In a video posted by one of his friends on his Instagram stories, the TV host can be seen kneeling down on one knee and presenting a ring to Paola.
"Will you marry me?" an emotional Ryan said, to which his girlfriend said yes.
The local star first introduced the love of his life in an episode of It's Showtime in August last year, saying, "Siyempre, gusto kong sabihin sa aking Showtime family, may girlfriend na ako."
His announcement was met with cheers from his fellow hosts. Vice Ganda then shared that she was one of the first people to learn about his new relationship.
"Alam mo kahapon, ang sama-sama ng pakiramdam ko tapos nag-text siya sa akin, ang saya-saya niya. Sabi niya, 'Mommy, ikaw una kong sasabihan.' Tapos tinawagan ko siya, umiiyak siya," Vice recounted.
Ryan then gushed, "Sobra kong saya kasi syempre, ang tagal kong naging single, tapos ngayon, may [girlfriend na ako]."
It wasn't until months later in October that Paola's identity was revealed after the hosts posted group photos of them on Instagram during their vacation in Hong Kong.
During their time together, Ryan has also introduced her to his family during their trip to South Korea.
"Pinakilala ko sa magulang ko ‘yung girlfriend ko," the comedian shared to his It's Showtime co-hosts.
"'Yung mommy ko kasi hindi marunong mag-English at Tagalog kaya hindi sila magkaintidihan. Kaya para akong nasa trabaho pa rin. Translate ako nang translate, ‘di ako makakain," he added. "Super happy ‘yung mommy ko."
