Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco now engaged
Wedding bells are in sight for Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco.
The Only Murders in the Building actress took to Instagram to share a photo of her engagement ring on Dec. 11. She also posted a sweet photo with her new fiancé.
"forever beings now," she captioned.
In one of the pictures, Selena is seen sitting on a picnic blanket as she's looking at her ring.
"hey wait... that's my wife," Benny wrote in the comments.
Earlier in the year, the record producer said on The Howard Stern Show in May that he wanted to marry Selena.
"When I look at her, I'm always just like, I don't know a world where it could be better than this," Benny said at the time.
"It was so crazy. When we went out on our first date, I didn't even know it was a date," he said. "I remember sitting there and she was like, 'I would've worn something different for this date' and I was like, 'Wait, we're on a date?'"
"Before I knew, we were hanging out the next day and the next day," he added.
For her part, Selena said in a February interview that she feels the "safest" with Benny.
“Without getting into too much detail, I think it's just really important to meet someone that respects you,” the artist explained. “And I think it's really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in. But I'd have to say overall it's the safest that I feel and it's been really lovely and I've only grown through it, so it's awesome.”
Before she met the music producer, the actress planned to adopt a child when she turned 35 if she had not met anyone.
"It just happens when you least expect it," she said.
Selena and Benny first worked together on a song titled I Can't Get Enough in March 2019 and again collaborated in 2023 for Single Soon. They confirmed they were dating in December 2023.
