Benny Blanco hints at plans to marry Selena Gomez in the future
It looks like wedding bells are ringing in the distance for Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco as the latter hinted that he sees himself marrying the actress in the future.
In a guest appearance on The Howard Stern Show, the record producer and songwriter shared some details about his relationship with Gomez including where he thinks their romance is headed.
On the subject of his Valentine's Day surprise for the actress, Blanco said that he made an effort to rent out an entire movie theater for their date and prepare all sorts of things that she loves.
"She loves a comfortable couch, so I took out the seats and we put out a huge couch in the front. And I was like, 'What are all her favorite foods?' I thought of them, and I spoke with her grandma, I spoke with her mom, her best friend," Blanco said.
He went on to share that he prepared fried pickles, Taco Bell, and hot Cheetos for Gomez and even brought in a nacho machine as his girlfriend loved movie theater nachos.
Because of his efforts, Stern couldn't help but sing praises to the music producer before opening the topic of marriage, saying, "You are some boyfriend, you’re knocking it out the park. I see love here, I’m predicting marriage."
"You and me both," Blanco replied.
When asked if he had a ring, he joked, "I don’t have anything. I got no shoes on! I gotta get my act together."
Stern also asked, "When will you propose? You should make the announcement now. When are you going to propose to your very famous girlfriend Selena?"
Blanco could only laugh as he said, "When I look at her, I’m always just like, I don’t know a world where it could be better than this."
On whether he wants kids, the record executive was quick to say yes, saying that it was his "next goal on the box" as he "loves being around kids."
Earlier in their conversation, Blanco looked back on the first stages of their romance and admitted that he wasn't even aware that Gomez was interested in him.
"It was so crazy. When we went out on our first date, I didn't even know it was a date," he said. "I remember sitting there and she was like, 'I would've worn something different for this date' and I was like, 'Wait, we're on a date?'"
"Before I knew, we were hanging out the next day and the next day," he added.
Blanco described Gomez as "truly like his best friend" and called her the "coolest, nicest, sweetest" person he has ever met.
"We laugh all day. She inspires me," he highlighted.
Before they got together, the pair worked on a song together titled I Can't Get Enough in March 2019 and again collaborated in 2023 for the latter's track, Single Soon. The couple confirmed their relationship in December 2023.
