Former titleholders to judge MUP 2020 prelims
We already know that the Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) finale is taking place at the Baguio Country Club.
But as we tune in to its preliminary round tonight, we still have one question in mind: Who are the pageant judges?
Tonight's prelims will showcase the contenders in their national costumes, swimsuits, and evening gowns. With no live audience around, the event will see previous titleholders judging the MUP hopefuls.
Here’s a quick look at the beauty queens who are part of the judging panel:
Mary Jean Lastimosa – Miss Universe Philippines 2014
Lastimosa was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2014 and made it to the top 10 of the grand finale. Today, the engineer is modeling for various brands, hosting shows on television, and wowing people with her acting talent. She's been busy filming for her new movie ‘Day Zero’ under Reality Entertainment with veteran actor Joey Marquez.
Maria Venus Raj – Miss Universe Philippines 2010
After being named Miss Universe Philippines in 2010 and finishing fourth runner up at the main tilt, Raj has been focused on spreading the words of faith and reaching out to those in need. Raj is best known for her "Major major" quip at the Q&A portion of the Miss Universe pageant.
Ariella Arida – Miss Universe Philippines 2013
Arida, who finished third runner-up at Miss Universe 2013, is now a fashion model and host. On the side, she continues to make a change like a true queen. Just recently, she was named HFW ambassador, raising awareness and sparking hope in lung cancer patients and their nearest and dearest.
The MUP's preliminary episode will be aired on The Ring Light Series on Empire.ph tonight, October 23. The grand finale is set to stream on Sunday, October 25 at 10:30 a.m. in Manila.
