DJ Kate Jagdon marries Andrea Mahinay: 'Finally, we can call each other 'wife''
DJ Kate Jagdon and Andrea Mahinay are officially married!
"All the heartbreaks, all the wrong turns, and everything we had to go through were worth it if they led me to you," Jagdon began in her Instagram post on Nov. 5.
In the carousel post, the two brides looked beautiful in lace wedding dresses by Francis Libiran. They also carried matching white bouquets against a lush green landscape in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Jagdon went on to share that their wedding day turned out just as they had hoped, with good weather and everything falling smoothly into place. She revealed that what was supposed to be an intimate elopement plan eventually turned into a bigger celebration, as they couldn't resist letting their families in on the big news.
"Although some of our friends and family couldn’t be physically there to celebrate with us, they were part of every moment through our updates, messages, and love from afar," she wrote. "To our family who celebrated with us and everyone who shared in our happiness from wherever they were, thank you for making this day even more special."
"And finally, we can call each other 'wife' legally recognized in so many countries around the world," she happily shared.

Jagdon also expressed her hope that the Philippines would one day recognize their marriage so they could celebrate their union once again with the people closest to them.
"For now, it’s you and me, against the world. All the heartbreaks were worth it because they led us to our forever," she continued. "My wife. My soulmate. My favorite yes. Here’s to forever."
In her Instagram post on Nov. 6, Jagdon addressed those who "spread hate through hurtful, below-the-belt remarks."
"I hope one day you understand that your words can make someone feel ashamed or afraid of simply being themselves. Nobody should ever have to feel that way," she wrote.
"Love is love. It has no single definition, no boundaries, and no one way of looking. Love deserves to be celebrated in all its forms," she added.
Jagdon said she hopes for a kinder and more peaceful world, where people choose to understand and accept one another rather than judge or hate, and put love above all else.
"May we continue to make this world a little safer, kinder, and more accepting for everyone. Everyone deserves the freedom to LOVE and BE LOVED," she concluded.
Jagdon is a music producer and DJ, while Mahinay is a real estate property specialist. The couple dated for four years before announcing their engagement last July.
