Bea Alonzo gets candid about married life with Vincent Co
Bea Alonzo is enjoying the little things that come with married life, from having coffee with her husband Vincent Co every morning to looking forward to spending their first Christmas as a married couple.
In an interview with PeopleAsia, Alonzo opened up about their relationship, their reconnection years after first meeting, and her hopes of building a family together. The actress revealed that she and Co first met in 2019 through a mutual friend at Dean & DeLuca, a restaurant she co-owned at the time.
"Sparks didn't fly instantly for us. It wasn't an instant thing. But we remained friends. And then in 2024, we reconnected and now the rest is history," she said.
Now that they are married, Alonzo said even the simplest moments with Vincent make her happy.
"Everything makes me giddy these days because, I mean, about him, because it's very new and exciting," she shared. "I think kahit mundane thing lang, makes me so excited because like I said it's new. Example, having coffee with him every morning before he goes to work makes me happy and giddy. Like, I really truly look forward to it."
The couple recently moved into their new home, and Alonzo is looking forward to celebrating Christmas there. She said she is excited to decorate for the holidays, invite friends over, and host dinners.

For the first time in many years, the actress also plans to spend Christmas in Manila instead of traveling abroad.
"My husband is very busy during Christmas season. He has a business to run. So, I need to stay here with him," she explained. "It's something to look forward to also, I might prepare something special for him."
Alonzo also spoke about her hopes of becoming a mother someday, saying she looks forward to experiencing Christmas through her own children's eyes. She recalled how the arrival of her two nephews made the holiday feel magical because she could experience it from a child's perspective.
"It's like experiencing Christmas for the first time again through a kid's lens. It's like experiencing it as a kid again. And I would hope to have my own in the future," she said.
When asked how many children she and Co hope to have, Alonzo joked, "As many as we could." However, the actress said they are taking things slowly for now.
"We're taking baby steps for now. One day at a time," she added.
Alonzo also shared that she and Co have yet to establish their own holiday traditions, but she believes they will eventually develop them when they have children.
For now, the actress hopes to build a life with Co that they have always dreamed of.
"I wish that we could build a life that we've always dreamed of together and grow together as a couple," she shared. "I feel like after a year that we've had, we have grown so much as a couple and I really cannot wait for the next chapters to unfold for us."
