Bea Alonzo and Vincent Co signed prenup 'freely' with no dispute: Lawyer
There were no disputes surrounding Bea Alonzo and Vincent Co's prenuptial agreement, according to the actress's lawyer.
Following the couple's civil wedding on July 13, Alonzo's legal counsel, Atty. Joey V. Garcia of GERA Law shut down speculation regarding their prenup.
"As counsel, I can categorically state that the reports suggesting there was any dispute, hesitation, or unresolved issue regarding the prenuptial agreement are inaccurate," Garcia said in a statement sent to PhilSTAR L!fe.
"The prenuptial agreement was freely, knowingly and voluntarily negotiated, executed, and signed by both Ms. Bea Alonzo and Mr. Vincent Co prior to their marriage, in accordance with the law. There was no legal impediment arising from its execution, and no issue existed that prevented or delayed its proper completion," he continued.
The lawyer added that both parties entered into the agreement of their own free will, "without controversy."
Alonzo and Co, the eldest son of billionaire couple Lucio and Susan Co of Puregold, tied the knot in an intimate civil ceremony officiated by Makati Mayor Nancy Binay on July 13.
Binay shared a photo featuring the newlyweds on July 15, writing, "Kinasal ko na po sila. Congratulations [and] best wishes Vincent [and] Bea."
The One More Chance star made the romantic affair Instagram official on Wednesday, posting dreamy photos with the caption, "Home."
Wedding rumors hounded the couple earlier in the year after marriage banns showed their names at a mass at St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Manila on March 8.
Meanwhile, in May, there were speculations that the two broke up, with some eagle-eyed social media users noticing that Alonzo supposedly unfollowed Co on Instagram. Gossip columns also surmised that prenup disagreements affected the couple's plans to wed in Spain.
Alonzo and Co sparked romance rumors in June 2025. Co shared on Instagram a photo of himself holding hands with a mystery woman while walking on a beach in Spain—users noticed that the actress's outfit matched the mystery woman's clothes.
