Scarlett Johansson marries comedian Colin Jost
Scarlett Johansson is now married to Saturday Night Live comedian-writer Colin Jost.
The Black Widow star and his three-year beau said their "I do's" in a low key-ceremony held last weekend.
It was announced by charity organization Meals on Wheels America in an Instagram post on October 30. The couple, according to the nonprofit institution, has been helping them provide assistance to the elderly during the pandemic.
"We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and loved ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention]," the organization stated.
"Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica. Please consider donating to celebrate the happy couple by clicking the link in our bio."
The marriage is Jost's first and the third for Johansson, who was married to actor Ryan Reynolds in 2008 and French businessman Romain Dauriac in 2014.
Johansson and Jost first connected in 2010, through a parody sketch written by Jost and enacted by Johansson in SNL. At that time, both of them were still committed to other actors. Johansson was still married to Reynolds, while Jost was dating Rashida Jones.
In July 2017—few months after Johansson's split with Dauriac—rumors began to circulate that she and Jost have been exclusively dating. It became official when the two were spotted holding hands during Kevin Hart's closing monologue in December that year. The couple got engaged in May 2019.
Johansson tops Forbes' list of highest-paid female actresses in 2019. Aside from keeping her hands full as the lead star and co-producer of the upcoming Marvel film Black Widow, Johansson tends to her six-year-old daughter Rose Dorothy, whom she had with ex-husband Dauriac.
