Liza Soberano joins Ken Jeong, Daniel Dae Kim in 'The Moons of LA' audio series
Liza Soberano continues to expand her international career as she joins Ken Jeong, Daniel Dae Kim, and Randall Park in The Moons of LA, an upcoming Audible original audio series.
Written by Paul Bae (The Black Tapes) and directed by James Kim (Moonface), The Moons of LA is a coming-of-age comedy audio series that follows a true-crime-obsessed middle school student, Chloe Moon (played by Alyssa Abiera), who uses her podcasting and amateur investigative skills to investigate her parents’ declining marriage.
The series is produced by Audible and At Will Media in partnership with 3AD, the production banner led by Kim and producer John Cheng.
"We've been lucky enough to bring together a stellar cast to tell a story that is both unique to the Korean American identity and universal in its exploration of the definition of personal success. I'm grateful to 3AD, our entire creative team, and Audible for bringing it to life," Kim told Variety.
Alongside Soberano, Jeong, Kim, Park, and lead actress Abiera, the star-studded Asian-American lineup includes Jae Suh Park, Jimmy O. Yang, John Cho, Sherry Cola, Vivian Bang, and Sydney Park.
With The Moons of LA, Soberano adds another notch to her Hollywood career, following Lisa Frankenstein (2024) and DreamWorks' animated feature Forgotten Island.
The 28-year-old has also lent her voice to the animated web series Sun Chaser, which, like Forgotten Island, is inspired by Filipino mythology. The show also stars Manny Jacinto, Eugene Cordero, Charo Santos, Dingdong Dantes, KD Estrada, AC Bonifacio, and JR De Guzman. Its pilot episode premiered in June.
The Moons of LA debuts exclusively on Audible on October 8, 2026.
