South Korean actress Nana slammed the critics for leaving hateful comments regarding her relationship with former BIGBANG member T.O.P, saying she has nothing to apologize for when it comes to her personal life.

Nana, whose real name is Im Jin-ah, took to social media to address the criticisms she has been receiving after confirming her romance with T.O.P.

"For 17 years, I have been sincere in my work at every single moment and have done my absolute best," she began in her now-unavailable Instagram post. Nana then addressed the "so-called fans" who "deliberately post malicious comments."

"I want to say something to those who call themselves fans but deliberately post malicious comments while disregarding my choices and freedom following the confirmation of my relationship," she wrote, according to The Korea Times. "I hope you take a hard look at what you really want and expect from a celebrity, and from me as a person."

She further called out the online backlash, questioning why some social media users continue to leave harsh comments about their relationship.

"I've tried to understand everything you've said and done, but I simply can't," she wrote. "Have I done something terribly wrong? Have I caused you any harm? Have I done anything morally questionable?"

She stressed, "Acknowledging my relationship is a matter of my private life. It's my life, and I don't believe it's something I need to apologize for," also appealing not to hurt her fans.

On the other hand, Nana also expressed her gratitude to her fans who continue to support her.

"I will remember every word of encouragement you send me and how precious those words are. I'm truly grateful, and I promise to repay your support by showing you my best."

Nana and T.O.P confirmed their relationship in October. According to their respective agencies, the two sparked romance after working together for T.O.P's music video in June.
