Alden Richards is dipping his toes deeper into filmmaking as he is now co-producing an international film with talents from other countries.

The actor took to his Instagram account to share a poster of what appears to be an upcoming action film titled Death March. It is helmed by Louis Mandylor and stars British actor Scott Adkins, who is known for his role in the Undisputed film series, The Expendables 2, and John Wick: Chapter 4.

"Thrilled to co-produce a film that brings together talents from the Philippines, US, Europe, Australia and Japan," Alden announced in the caption.

"Can’t wait to unveil this journey with the world!" he added.

Included in the teaser poster is a group picture of Alden posing with the other members of the film's production crew.

In an Instagram post by Scott, he detailed that they are currently shooting scenes from the film in the Philippines.

According to the synopsis, Death March follows British Royal Air Force Wing Commander James Wright as he is captured by the Japanese during World War II and is forced to fight in brutal hand-to-hand combat.

The Japanese soldiers get more than they bargained for when Wright’s years of martial arts training in Hong Kong prove him to be a formidable opponent.

Details on other cast members as well as the release date remain under wraps.

Alden's role as co-producer for the film comes months after he started venturing into filmmaking with his directorial debut Out of Order, which is reportedly being produced by VIVA Films, Studio Viva, and Myriad Entertainment.

The local star first announced that he was taking on the role of actor, producer, and director of his upcoming film back in November last year. He also teased a glimpse of what he's like in the director's chair as he posted a video of himself being hands-on with his crew and instructing the camerawoman on how to shoot the scene properly.

He will be joined by Heaven Peralejo as co-star.
