Janella Salvador couldn't be happier for her fans' support after she received backlash over her viral remark where she declined to sing on It's Showtime.

On her X account, the actress took the time to express her gratitude to those who defended her from criticisms, sharing how she was pleasantly shocked as she was prepared to explain herself for what happened.

"Oh wow. I’ve been meaning to explain myself because the last thing I would ever want is to appear rude or disrespectful… and here I am being met with so much love and comfort upon opening this app," she wrote.

"Thank you. It makes me happy to know that there are many people out there who know my heart and what I stand for. Hugs of gratitude (from behind)," she continued, adding an emoji of a smiling face holding back tears.

In the comments section, many of her fans assured her that they always got her back in times of need.

"Those who know your heart will always be there for you. We will always be your first line of defense. You can always count on us," one user wrote.

In case you're not up to date, Janella recently made a guest appearance on the noontime show last April 2 together with Thai actor Win Metawin, in promotion of their new movie Under Parallel Skies.

Her viral incident came when host Kim Chiu asked her to sing for the audience as Janella spoke about her new song Headtone, to which she declined due to her voice's condition.

"Medyo paos ako today. Kayo na lang," Janella said, but promised to perform in another time.

"Pakinggan na lang namin sa Spotify," Kim replied before continuing on with the program.

Later in the show, fellow host Vice Ganda referenced Janella's words during the "EXpecially For You" segment when the searchee wouldn't give the audience a sample of their voice.

"Medyo paos siya ngayon. Kayo na lang," said Vice.

Because of her reply, Janella was the subject of criticism online over her "disrespectful" behavior.

"Medyo off talaga yung ginawa niya. They are there to promote and sample lang naman yun which is few lines lang? Parang kaya naman after hearing her speaking voice. Tapos dinagdagan pa niya ng 'kayo na lang' like huh? Si Kim ba nagpropromote?" one user posted on X.

But many argued against this, stressing, "As a fan of her since 2022, Janella is one of the most accomodating and nicest people I know. She will do it freely if she can. Napaka-giving ng tao na yan. Kaya kapag sinabi niyang paos siya, paos talaga yan. Kakagaling lang din niya talaga sa sakit. Masakit pa lalamunan niyan."

Janella and Win's Under Parallel Skies is set to hit Philippine cinemas on April 17.
