Heart Evangelista attends first meeting as new Senate Spouses Foundation head
Heart Evangelista took on a new role as she shared her first meeting as the president of the Senate Spouses Foundation Incorporated.
On Instagram, the actress posted a video of meeting and working with all other spouses of the local Senators for the first time on Friday.
"Our very first meeting and as they say, coming together is just the beginning," she captioned with a heart.
"Excited to get down to work! Thank you for the warm welcome fellow senate spouses," Evangelista added in her post.
The socialite said that she is "ready to honor the challenge" of her new position "to make our communities better and stronger."
Following this, Heart earned the support of her fellow senator spouses and followers.
"All out support you got this," wrote actress Mariel Padilla, Senator Robin Padilla's wife who was also present in the meeting.
"Let’s go pres sissy! 100% support for you and your projects for @senatespousesph," content creator Maricel Tulfo, daughter of Senator Raffy Tulfo said.
Several others who attended the meeting were Senator Koko Pimentel's wife, Kathryna Yu-Pimentel, and the organization's committee.
Heart assumed the position after her husband Chiz Escudero was appointed as the new Senate President. She replaced Audrey Tan Zubiri, the outgoing president of the group and Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri's spouse.
As per tradition, local senators' spouses join an organization to conduct projects and charities for the communities.
