BLACKPINK’s Jisoo teases new release on Valentine's Day
Is Jisoo making her solo comeback this Valentine’s?
The K-pop star dropped a surprise teaser on Monday, Jan. 13, showing the date, Feb. 14 with her name.
"COMING SOON," the caption read.
While no further details were announced about her upcoming release, fans were quick to speculate that it's for her solo comeback.
This comes nearly two years after she released her debut single album, ME, with the title track, Flower, in March 2023. She is the fourth and last BLACKPINK member to make her solo debut, following Lisa's LALISA, Rosé's R in 2021, and Jennie's Solo in 2018.
Other than her solo comeback in the music scene, Jisoo is also focusing on her acting career. After making her acting debut in the 2021 historical tragedy drama Snowdrop with Jung Hae-in, she is now set to star in the new zombie-comedy series Newtopia with Park Jeong-min, which is set to premiere in February.
Jisoo is also among the star-studded cast of the highly-anticipated film adaptation of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, where she will star alongside A-list Korean actors like Lee Min Ho, Ahn Hyo Seop, Chae Soo Bin, Shin Seung Ho, Nana, Park Ho San, and Choi Young Joon.
