The Miss Universe Philippines interview challenge, which was streamed on Empire Philippines’ channel in two parts, was a test of the Top 48’s communication skills and ability to show grace under pressure. The candidates were asked to introduce themselves and respond to three questions--with 30 seconds per question.

The pageant announced the Top 7 delegates hours after the challenge. Vincent was the top candidate, followed by Parañaque’s Maria Ingrid Teresita Santamaria and social media star Ayn Bernos who’s representing San Juan City.

Completing the Top 7 are Makati’s Isabelle De Los Santos, Bukidnon’s Megan Julia Roa Digal, Cebu City’s Beatrice Luigi Gomez, and Simone Nadine Bornilla of Marinduque.

Vincent introduced herself as an architect and a heritage conservationist, with a love of “all things visually creative, poetry, and anything underrated.” She also described herself as an “epitome of a Virgo who loves being organized and solving problems.”

The candidate also talked about “converting into a 90% vegan” to protect the environment and her decision to leave New Zealand to compete for the Miss Universe Philippines pageant.

The panelists include the following personalities: MUPH national director Shamcey Supsup-Lee, MUPH style council head and fashion designer Albert Andrada, TV anchor Joee Guilas, events and fashion show director Jackie Aquino, MUPH legal counsel Atty. PY Caunan, and Saga Events founder Director Robby Carmona.

The panel was also joined by MUPH creative director Jonas Gaffud, MUPH business development and marketing head Mario Garcia, MUPH head of legal affairs Atty. Nad Bronce, MUPH women empowerment and charity head Lia Ramos, and Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo.

The Top 48 will be trimmed down to the final 30 which will be announced on Aug. 31. The final 30 will then compete for the Miss Universe Philippines crown on Sept. 25
