Though they've all got distinctive styles, the designers' local ingenuity can't be denied!
Miss Universe Canada - Michael Cinco
Miss Universe Canda Nova Stevens stunned in this silver ensemble by veteran Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco. Michael is no stranger to the pageant scene, as he's been designing gowns for numerous contestants including Miss Canada 2018 and 2019.
Miss Universe Belize - Jian Lasala
Belize representative Iris Salguero dominated the runway in this high-cut blue gown by Pinoy designer Jian Lasanan. The deep blue symbolizes the crystal blue waters of Belize.
Miss Universe Cambodia - Rian Fernandez
Sarina Reth was a vision in shining aqua with this piece from Rian Fernandez. Per Fernandez' s Instagram, the bead-patterned ensemble was inspired by Cambodia's Sampot trouser, also known as the national soul of the country.
Miss Universe Cameroon - Benj Leguiab IV
Miss Cameroon Angele Kossinda took a leap of faith with San Mateo-based fashion student Kennedy Jhon Gaspar during the National Costume round. This time around, fellow Filipino designer Benj Leguiab IV made her shine as she sashayed onto the stage with her floor-length cape sleeves.
Miss Universe Philippines - Furne One
Rabiya Mateo was the belle of the ball in a bright yellow ensemble by Dubai-based designer Furne One. In an interview with PhilSTAR L!fe, Furne had shared that though he hadn’t seen the Miss Universe candidate personally for a fitting, the gowns were nonetheless “perfect”
Miss Universe Romania - Michael Cinco
Adding to his wide collection of Miss Universe evening gowns, Michael Cinco also crafted Miss Romania Bianca Lorena Tirsin’s gorgeous white-and-gold piece. Bianca is also the first Romanian to strut the runway in a Cinco-designed gown.
