Curb your cravings: El Born Cheesecake opens shop at Rockwell
You can now get your fix of El Born's famous cheesecake at Rockwell in Makati.
The Grid Food Market, a food hub located at the Power Plant Mall, announced that El Born has opened shop on April 25. It is located at Stall 15 inside the food spot.
El Born, a Catalan-Mediterranean restaurant, is at the Mitsukoshi Mall in Bonifacio Global City, and serves up dishes like Ensalada de Gambas (prawn salad), Pollo Al Josper (roasted chicken), La Bomba de la Barceloneta (potato stuffed with spicy pork meat), and more.
It's also most known for its cheesecake, which was part of PhilSTAR L!fe's The 100 List, a citrusy, creamy concoction made with premium cheese. The pastry features a buttery graham crust, lemony custard, and salt flakes on top.
The restaurant also recently opened La Pastisseria by El Born, a pastry shop for its cheesecake, at Basement 1 of Mitsukoshi Mall earlier in January.
Apart from the signature cheesecake, El Born also offers a special chocolate and hazelnut cheesecake, tarta tatin (homemade tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream), and flan casero con carmello salado (homemade "flan" with salty caramel).
A slice of cheesecake starts at P395.
