LIST: Where to find best restrooms around Metro Manila
Are you the type of person who's always in need of a restroom break?
For those who are always going out, finding nice public restrooms can be quite a challenge. Not only must it look clean and smell nice, but it must also have the necessary features to maintain one’s hygiene.
What constitutes a nice restroom? Hand soaps, tissue, or better yet, a working bidet, and for bonus: good ambient lighting for your mirror shots or ‘fit check photos? Users in the Facebook group Best of the Best Manila gave their picks for some of the best restrooms you can visit for a comfier toilet experience when you're out.
Sine Pop
Good news for movie buffs: If you’re looking for a place that’s offering a screening of independent films, Sine Pop has nice restrooms.
This old house-turned-cinema's restroom is nestled behind in the mini bamboo garden. It has a simple interior with bare concrete walls and natural lighting giving a fresh and light ambiance.
This idyllic place is also available for rent for private events.
Sine Pop is located at 14 St. Mary Street in Cubao, Quezon City.
The Fifth at Rockwell
Looking for that luxe feel while taking a dump? Check out The Fifth Events area on the R5 Level of the Power Plant Mall in Makati City.
The spacious restroom has two floor-to-ceiling mirrors—perfect for your barkada groufie—a crystal-shaped mirror with a mini chandelier each, and marble tiles on the wall and floors. It also gives that relaxing ambiance since it allows natural lighting with its glass walls, treating you to a stunning city view while freshening up
As a cherry on top, each cubicle is equipped with both toilet paper and a working bidet.
This restroom is just near the chapel and is open to the public whenever there’s an event.
Conrad
If you have conferences coming up, one of the accessible places to go to is Conrad Manila, a hotel located within the SM Mall of Asia complex. The restrooms give that old luxury vibe with its wood interior—from floor-to-ceiling doors, large mirrors, and that clean smell you can only experience at a hotel. While you're at it, chill at their C Lounge to watch the sunset.
The Corner House
If you find yourself in San Juan and are looking for a nice place to hang out, go to The Corner House at P Guevarra. It is a neighborhood mall where you can dine, shop, and even work out in its 500-meter covered jogging path which opens at 5 a.m.
Its bare-looking white architectural design has a lot of Instagram-worthy spots, including its high-ceiling restrooms that are kept simple with white lavatories and industrial-designed mirrors.
Ayà Manila
Ayà by Hapag at The Balmori Suites at the Rockwell Center isn't just a nice date spot, it has a nice restroom for when nature calls.
This resto specializes in reimagining Filipino dishes while treating you to a nice city view with its glass house design.
Apart from its scrumptious meals, a stay in this glass box cocktail bar is nothing short of luxury, with its high-ceiling, cozy fixtures, and warm tones, all around, even in the restrooms.
Other spots
Many malls around the Metro also have nice public restrooms. For one, experience the seat warmer at the Pay Lounge in Robinsons Magnolia, which you can use for free if you use coupons on their app; or try the heated Toto seats with auto bidet and blower at Angkan Coffee (former %Arabica) at Bonifacio Global City.
There’s also this cozy-looking restroom at Uptown Mall also located in BGC that has that classic combination of white and wood. Those near the U-belt can also check out Calle Cafe at P. Noval, España Blvd which has that industrial/nature-themed interior.
