LOOK: Korean actor Seo In Guk visits Boracay for the first time
Following his appointment as the Philippines' Celebrity Tourism Ambassador for South Korea by the Department of Tourism (DOT) last Feb. 21, Seo In Guk is now enjoying his first visit to Boracay.
The DOT shared Facebook snippets of the 37-year-old actor's island activities, showcasing his early morning golf outing, a crystal kayak ride, and a yacht tour.
There's even one photo where he was enjoying some Filipino dishes such as sinigang and sisig.
This wasn't In Guk's first encounter with the Philippines' islands. Recently, the newest celebrity tourism ambassador and BLACKPINK's Jisoo were spotted having fun in Cebu by eagle-eyed social media users. As per reports, they were filming for their latest romantic-comedy drama, Boyfriend on Demand.
According to DOT, the designation recognized In Guk's "global influence" and "deep connection with Filipino fans." It also highlights his potential to strengthen cultural and tourism exchanges between the Philippines and South Korea.
The collaboration also aims to elevate the Philippines' profile as a "premier" travel destination among Korean tourists.
As a tourism ambassador, In Guk will take part in official tourism campaigns in both countries.
In Guk is known for his roles in Reply 1997, Doom at Your Service, Cafe Minamdang, and Death's Game, to name a few.
