Are you a fan of BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Seo In Guk? Here's some good news for you: The two are starring in a new romantic comedy series!

According to reports by multiple outlets like Soompi and Variety, Netflix confirmed on Feb. 20 that the Korean stars will lead the cast in the upcoming drama Boyfriend on Demand.

The new series is set in a virtual world where users can subscribe to a boyfriend. Jisoo will play Seo Mi Rae, a career-focused webtoon producer whose life takes a turn when she unexpectedly receives a “Monthly Boyfriend” device that lets her find love in a virtual world.

Seo In Guk will play Park Kyeong Nam, a fellow webtoon producer and Seo Mi Rae’s coworker and rival. He is described as cold and self-centered, but “hides a surprising secret,” and is set to “shake up Mi Rae’s world.”

Boyfriend on Demand will be directed by Kim Jung Sik, who also helmed hit rom-com K-dramas like Work Later, Drink Now, Strong Girl Namsoon, So Not Worth It, and No Gain No Love

Jisoo and Seo In Guk were spotted together in Cebu last week, filming some scenes reportedly for the upcoming drama.

More details about the offering, including other cast members, trailer, and release date, have yet to be announced.

Apart from pursuing a solo music career, Jisoo has also been busy in the acting scene since her debut in the 2021 series Snowdrop with Jung Hae In. She recently starred in a new zombie-comedy series Newtopia. She also stars in the film, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, which is set to be released this year with Lee Min Ho, Ahn Hyo Seop, Chae Soobin, and Nana, among others.

Seo In Guk is known for his roles in Reply 1997, Doom at Your Service, Cafe Minamdang, and Death’s Game.
