Calling all cinephiles! The QCinema International Film Festival (QCIFF) has released its full lineup of shorts and films in competition and for exhibition in its 2025 edition.

This year, the festival, with the theme "Film City," is set for Nov. 14 to 23, and moviegoers can catch screenings of the selections at Quezon City malls such as Gateway, Robinsons Galleria, Eastwood, Trinoma, Fisher Mall, and Cloverleaf.

Tickets are priced at P250, and the first screenings of the day on weekdays are free at all venues except at Gateway Mall, QCinema artistic director Ed Lejano said during the QCIFF's media launch on Oct. 21. This is part of the local government unit's efforts to make cinema more accessible to more Filipinos.

For 2025, the QCIFF features different categories and competition sections, including Asian Next wave, which highlights powerful new voices from Asia; RainbowQC, which gives platform to inspiring queer stories; New Horizon, which includes films pushing the boundaries; and QCShorts International with works from emerging directors in Southeast Asia.

Opening this year's film fest is Alice Winocour's Couture, which follows filmmaker Maxine, played by Angelina Jolie, in Paris Fashion Week. During the fashion event, she meets veteran makeup artist Angèle (Ella Rumpf) and 18-year-old new-to-modelling Ada (Aniyet Anei).
