The news comes on the heels of Precious Paula Nicole being crowned as the country's first-ever drag superstar. The drag queen bested 11 other queens throughout 10 episodes of drag performances, challenges, and a whole lot of sass.
Meanwhile, Drag Race Philippines Season 1 premiered on Aug. 17 on HBO Go and WOW Presents Plus. A local adaptation of RuPaul's Drag Race, the show was hosted by actor and TV host Paolo Ballesteros. Its judging panel included Jiggy Caliente, Kaladkaren, BJ Pascual, Rajo Laurel, and Jon Santos.
The series' grand coronation ceremony was held at the Okada Manila hotel in Pasay City on Oct. 12.
