'Umbrella Academy' fourth and final season to premiere on Netflix in 2024
Prepare for the excitement and the end, Brellies. The Umbrella Academy season 4 is finally premiering next year, but it's confirmed to be the popular superhero series' last chapter.
Netflix broke the news as the show marked the birthday of the show's lead characters, the Hargreeves siblings, on social media on Oct. 1. The video reveals the 2024 release date, after showcasing footage of the cast celebrating the characters' birthdays by throwing confetti and hitting piñatas.

Umbrella Academy is based on the comic books of the same name written by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá. It follows a dysfunctional set of adopted brothers and sisters possessing extraordinary abilities, all sharing the same birthday of October 1. Together, they embark on numerous missions to rescue the world, safeguard their own destinies, and protect themselves.
The show stars Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H Min, Ritu Arya and Colm Feore.
Umbrella Academy has run for three seasons so far between 2019 and 2022 and is currently one of Netflix’s best superhero shows of all time.
The release schedule for the series’ previous seasons has varied in the past, and season 4's premiere date in 2024 likewise remains unclear.
Seasons 1 and 2 were launched in 2019 and 2020 respectively, while the third season was delayed to 2022 due to production interruptions caused by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In August 2022, The Umbrella Academy was renewed for its fourth season, and it was officially announced series creator, Steve Blackman, that this would mark the series' last.
