Sunset Boulevard, adapted from Billy Wilder's iconic 1950 film, tells the story of forgotten silent film star Norma Desmond and her desperate bid for a comeback, entangling struggling screenwriter Joe Gillis in her tragic world.

Debuting in London's West End in 1993, the musical features music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton, and orchestrations by David Cullen and Lloyd Webber. Its iconic score boasts classics including With One Look, As If We Never Said Goodbye, The Perfect Year, and Sunset Boulevard.

The show opened on Broadway the following year, with Glenn Close taking home the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Norma Desmond.
