HBO Max has released the teaser trailer for the upcoming third season of DC’s Titans.

The newest season of HBO Max's hit TV series is set in Gotham City, where the young superheroes will reunite with old friends and fight against new villains. The series' first three episodes will be launched on the streaming platform on August 12.

The teaser opened when Jason Todd, played by Curran Walters, is seen inspecting criminal activity at an amusement park.

“This is Gotham. This city breeds a special class of criminals. People die here. People like us,” Dick Grayson narrates throughout the teaser.

It may have revealed the presence of The Joker—looming, hearing his distinct laugh in the background, and his familiar silhouette beating Jason Todd who will be returning as Red Hood using a crowbar.

The teaser also showed the first look at another infamous DC villain, Scarecrow, who will be working for the Gotham City Police Department while remaining locked in Arkham Asylum. Vincent Kartheiser has been cast to play Dr. Crane or Scarecrow.

Much is yet to be revealed about the new season that keeps fans waiting for another teaser or the full trailer before the premiere.

The subsequent episodes of the TV series after August 12 will be released on Thursdays until October 21.

DC also announced the debut of DC’s Titans United, a seven-issue limited comic book series featuring the young superheroes. The series is free to subscribers of DC Universe Infinite and will be available in participating comic book stores and digital platforms on Sept. 14, 2021.
