'Mr. Bean' animated series to return for 4th season in 2025
Bean will be back! Mr. Bean: The Animated Series will be returning next year for its fourth installment.
According to a report by Variety on Wednesday, Jan. 4, Mr. Bean's upcoming season will still center on Mr. Bean and his best friend, stuffed toy Teddy as they go on a series of hilarious yet chaotic adventures.
The new episodes will air on various platforms across the globe, including Warner Bros. Discovery’s kids' channels and streaming services across Southeast Asia and South Asia.
Its creator, Rowan Atkinson, will again serve as the executive producer and voice of the beloved character.
"I have always enjoyed this iteration of the Mr Bean character and the particular freedoms he has in animated form. We can take him into space or down a tin mine, without me personally having to suffer the consequences," Atkinson said in a statement. "The animation process creatively is always fascinating and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into the new series very much."
Also included in the team behind the show is production company Banijay’s Tiger Aspect Kids & Family in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery and ITVX.
Created by Rowan Atkinson and Richard Curtis, Mr. Bean first premiered in 1990 with a live-action series treatment played by Rowan Atkinson. Its animated series was launched in 2002.
The animated show became popular for its comedic antics and has since been watched in 195 territories, becoming an iconic character loved by kids and kids at heart.
