Entering politics has never been on the bucket list of entertainment icon Vic Sotto, despite several of his family members have a thriving political career.

In the latest YouTube vlog of Kim Chiu, the actress asked him if it has ever crossed his mind to take on a political position, to which Sotto asserted that he hasn't.

"Hindi," the former Eat Bulaga! host simply said.

He then mentioned how his older brother Vicente "Tito" Sotto III and his son Victor "Vico" Sotto had both entered politics, with Tito being a former senate president and Vico being the current mayor of Pasig City.

Aside from them, Tito's two children, Gia and Lala, also have government positions as vice mayor of Quezon City and the chairman of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board respectively. Vic's grandfather Vicente also entered politics as as a senator from 1946 to 1950.

"Ako mismo, marami nang nagtanong sa akin kung interesado ako kahit noong araw pa, even before na makapasok sa pulitika si Tito. Sa akin naman, pwede ka namang maging public servant na hindi ka namumulitika," Vic told Kim.

"Never kong in-entertain. Okay na akong alalay lang, tagakampanya lang," he added.

As of recent, Vic has his hands full with hosting the new noontime variety show E.A.T. along with Tito and Joey de Leon, accompanied by Jose Manalo, Allan K., Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Ryan Agoncillo, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Maine Mendoza, Ice Seguerra, among others.

This comes as the original cast left Eat Bulaga on May 31 following a feud with its producers, TAPE Inc.

Vic and his wife Pauleen Luna also recently revealed that they are expecting their second child after their daughter Tali. The gender of their baby, who they named Mochi, was revealed through a boxing match between two mascots of a baby boy and a baby girl, with the girl emerging victorious in the end.
