Fitness influencer Alessandro Antonicelli has died. He was only 26.

As announced on his Instagram page, the content creator passed away on Dec. 6. “Today the world is a bit emptier: Ale flew away, free from pain, finding the peace he deserved,” a statement from his family read. “We know how much you've loved and supported him, but now we ask you to protect this painful time his family, girlfriend, and friends are going through.”

Antonicelli became known for his workout content and his advocacy for cancer research.

In August 2023, he revealed that he had been diagnosed with chondroblastic osteosarcoma, a malignant bone tumor, after a medical checkup. He underwent chemotherapy afterward.

Four months later, the content creator had his entire femur, knee, hip joints, and part of his quadriceps muscle surgically removed, according to a GoFundMe page.

He had radiotherapy at the National Cancer Institute in Milan, as he finished his human nutrition degree, in August 2024.

Antonicelli’s health then “rapidly worsened” and he was hospitalized for “uncontrollable” pain in November this year, which resulted in his death.

“Ale is gone, but his example remains,” the GoFundMe page's description box read. “He showed us what it means to hold on to life, even when it hurts.”

“May you shine from where you are now, and give strength and courage to your loved ones," a fan wrote online.

“My heart is in pieces today. Can't comprehend this is reality. For me, you've been an idol, a person I've always admired deeply,” said another.
