Phil Younghusband, wife Margaret expecting second baby

"Soon to be a family of 4," former football star Phil Younghusband quipped as he announced that he and his wife, Margaret Hall, are expecting their second child.

The soon-to-be father of two shared the news with his Instagram followers on Wednesday, Aug. 23, through a set of photos of his family taken by  Nice Print Photo.

The maternity shoot, which shows the them on a serene apple farm, exudes feminine energy through the prominence of pink on Margaret's dress down to the flowers. 

"Our hearts are bursting with so much love and joy," Phil captioned his post.

"Feeling truly grateful, blessed, excited and beyond happy to share that we are expecting a baby girl soon!"

The Filipino-Engish athlete also thanked the renowned photography studio for capturing their "special milestones."

The couple's second pregnancy comes three years after the couple welcomed their firstborn, Philip James, in July 2020. The two have been married since 2019, the same year that Phil announced his retirement from football. 

Phil and Margaret celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary on July 20 this year, with the athlete marking the milestone with a sweet Instagram post to his wife.

"It seems like yesterday, we were preparing for our special day and now here we are with our growing family. What an incredible journey it’s been so far. Can’t wait for all of the years to come. I love you more and more each day," he captioned his post.

Phil, together with his brother and fellow football star James, has since migrated to England after serving the Philippine team for more than a decade.
