Alex Gonzaga opened up about suffering another miscarriage after trying to conceive a child via in vitro fertilization.

In an interview with her sister, host-actress Toni Gonzaga on Toni Talks, the content creator bared her second pregnancy loss that took place in October.

Alex revealed that her second attempt to have a baby with her husband, politician Mikee Morada was done through IVF. She was inspired by former US First Lady Michelle Obama, who decided to count on surrogacy for her two pregnancies after losing a baby via miscarriage.

"Naisip ko, 'Kailangan ko nang madiliin 'to with the help of science,'" Alex said, sharing that she focused on the entire process after their variety show Lunch Out Loud ended in April this year.

Alex gave a shoutout to women who went through the same process just to have a child. "Ito, makikita mo 'yung hardship ng nanay, ng babae para mabuo yung baby," she said as she talked about making sacrifices and dealing with hormonal imbalance to successfully have a baby.

"Grabe 'yung respect ko sa mga nanay na pinagdaanan 'yun," she said.

The YouTube vlogger also talked about feeling "pressured" by other people to have a baby, but a realization came one day when she felt like God wanted to send her a message about taking it easy and trusting in the timeline He has for her.

"Noong naliligo ako, parang bigla lang along kinausap ni Lord na parang 'Why are you in a rush to be pregnant?' Tapos naiyak ako," she recalled.

"Naisip ko, 'Oo nga 'no, ba't ba ako in a rush? Bakit hinihingi ko kay Lord, 'Lord, sana bukas is pregnant na ako. Sana talagang matuloy na itong pregnancy ko.' Why? Kasi napepressure ako sa tao," she mused.

Alex revealed in a vlog that she had her first miscarriage in October 2021. She got real about feeling like she "failed" as a wife at the time, but said she later realized none of it was her fault.

"If it’s meant that the Lord will bless you with a new life, it will happen. You just really have to leave it all up to the Lord. ‘Yun ang nagpatibay sa’min ni Mikee, ‘yun ang nagpalakas sa’min kaya ngayon, we get to share (our story). Dun ko rin na-realize that we have to be strong for each other," she said.

Alex and Mikee tied the knot in November 2020.
