Sharon Cuneta admitted that her feelings were hurt when daughter KC Concepcion unfollowed her stepdad Kiko Panglinan and half-sister Frankie on Instagram but stressed that her love for her eldest daughter still remains strong.

Speaking with the press for her upcoming reunion concert "Dear Heart" with her ex-husband and KC's father, Gabby Concepcion, Sharon opened up about how she felt when she learned that her daughter unfollowed Kiko and Frankie on social media.

"It hurt me, syempre, nung may unfollow-unfollow, pero pamilya kami. This is a family matter. Since I'm a mother first, I love KC very, very much. I would die for her, for Frankie, for Miel and Miguel. If I had to, silang apat lang ang papayag akong mamatay kaysa sa kanila," Sharon emphasized.

While the Megastar didn't delve into the exact reason that pushed KC to unfollow her stepfamily, she expressed her apology to Kiko and his family for having their names dragged into the controversy.

"I want to apologize to Kiko and the Pangilinan clan, dahil sa pagkapublic ng pag-unfollow. It's really just a small thing that got a bit out of hand, and it's a family matter," Sharon said.

She continued by emphasizing how much love she has for KC, "Whatever it is, I will always support my daughter. I will always love her. And I would always be her mom and tell her what she's doing right and tell her what she's doing wrong until she is 80 and I'm still alive."

Despite what happened, Sharon shared that Kiko and KC had fostered a very close bond since she was young, and their home has always included her even when she had decided to live on her own.

"Kiko raised her since she was nine years old and they've been very close. Shock-absorber niya yan. Takbuhan niya yan, yan ang kanyang sounding board. Kahit minsan may tampuhan kami, si Kiko ang kausap niya," Sharon said.

Regarding her relationship with her children, the actress diminished claims that she has favorites.

"I don't play favorites. Some people seem to think favorite na anak ko si Frankie—hindi. I love all my children equally. It's just that, kung sino syempre 'yung lagi mong kasama, lagi mong katabi, meron ka lang mas nakakasundo. And among all my children, ang kaugali ko si Frankie," Sharon explained.

The unfollowng issue between KC and her stepfamily started in August, with KC explaining, "Mahirap lang po talaga kapag showbiz 'yung family, talagang lahat pinupuna. [I] just want peace of mind. I want to be happy. I want my family to be happy."

On Thursday, Sharon shared a poster of KC's upcoming film Asian Persuasion. KC left a comment on the post, saying that everything she does "is for you (her mom)."

The Megastar acknowledged the comment and hoped that one day, they would get to talk again.

"Still praying we get to talk. After all your work na anak. God is good. Nothing would make me happier than having my whole family with me, and don't ever forget you are part of ours too..." she said.

"I am a mother FIRST, and my heart will only be complete once things are sorted out. Remember anak that only those who truly love you will tell you what is true, what will make you a better person. We all love and care for you. See things from that perspective and you will see differently. I love you. Daddy and your siblings love you," Sharon added.

KC is in the Philippines to promote her upcoming romantic comedy film Asian Persuasion, which features a diverse, primarily Asian cast. The project seeks "to elevate, inform, and inspire the Asian narrative," according to Variety
