Sharon and KC have been open about having a stormy relationship in the past.

In June 2022, KC revealed online that they started to patch things up on their way to a much better space together. “I hear about so many mother-daughters that never get the chance to heal their relationships nor resolve issues, and I feel lonely for them. I’m so thankful we’re able to speak with each other with mutual care and respect, and now talk like girlfriends and found our way back to each other,” she said, adding that "there is nothing like having your own mother’s love.”

Since then, they have been spotted spending time together as well as Sharon’s family with husband, politician Kiko Pangilinan. Early this month, however, she confirmed that she unfollowed her stepdad as well as her half-sister Frankie on Instagram, saying that she wants to have “peace of mind.”
