Sharon Cuneta expressed how proud she is of KC Concepcion, as she shared the poster of her daughter's upcoming Filipino-American film, Asian Persuasion.

On Instagram, the Megastar posted about the movie and invited followers to see it.

"America! My firstborn is starring in her first Hollywood movie and I hope you can watch it!" Cuneta said. "God be with you anak. Please take care of yourself."

KC left a comment on the Megastar's post, saying: "Like I always tell you mama, tho I’m not perfect, everything I do is for you."

Replying to her daughter's comment, Sharon said that she is praying that one day, they would get to talk again.

"Still praying we get to talk. After all your work na anak. God is good. Nothing would make me happier than having my whole family with me, and don't ever forget you are part of ours too..." she said.

"I am a mother FIRST, and my heart will only be complete once things are sorted out. Remember anak that only those who truly love you will tell you what is true, what will make you a better person. We all love and care for you. See things from that perspective and you will see differently. I love you. Daddy and your siblings love you," Sharon added.

Sharon also replied to a social media user who asked the "drama" to stop.

"[I] said nothing," Sharon replied.

The interaction comes after KC unfollowed her stepdad Kiko Pangilinan and half-sister Frankie on Instagram.

Asked about why she decided to do so, KC, without expounding, said that problems are inevitable in blended families.

"I think 'yung sa akin, like I said, may mga complicated talaga pagdating sa blended family, mayroon din po talagang 'di perfect," she told Cristy Fermin.

"Wala naman po akong gustong ikuwento pa apart from the fact na, ako, I just want peace of mind. I want to be happy. I want my family to be happy."

The two had been in a rocky relationship in the past.  Speaking to Ogie Diaz, Sharon said that their personalities clash, causing misunderstandings sometimes.

“OK kami, minsan hindi—that’s the truth. Actually, parang I don’t know anything about my eldest daughter’s life,” she confessed. “Very little lang ang alam ko [kasi] since bata siya, hindi naman siya nag-oopen up sa akin unlike her siblings.”
