Megan Young shuts down pregnancy comments: 'Busog lang'
Megan Young clarified that she is not pregnant in an Instagram comment as social media users speculated that the former beauty queen was with child.
Her husband, Mikael Daez, shared an Instagram Reel of the couple's vacation on the beach, which featured Megan in a bikini.
This video had social media users asking if the couple had a baby on the way.
"Parang buntis na [siya. 'Yung] shape ng tummy [niya]," one user wrote.
"Feeling ko buntis si Megan kasi tumaba na [siya]. Congratulations," another said.
Several other comments also saw people congratulating the couple.
This wouldn't be the first time the Miss World 2013 queen got comments speculating she's pregnant, as some users have been writing about it in a previous reel shared by Megan on the same trip.
"Preggy [ka na] Meg," one user wrote with a heart eyes emoji.
The beauty queen then put rumors to rest as she wrote, "busog lang."
Other Instagram users have also expressed their dismay at those making comments about Megan's body.
"The body comments are so cringe. Dearies, it's 2024. Keep your stupid thoughts to yourself," one user said.
"Your body weight comments are not welcome here," wrote another.
"Bakit tuwing nag gain ang mga babae ng weight, buntis agad? Hindi ba pwedeng masaya lang o maraming pagkain sa bahay? Mga comment na ganito nakakasuka. 2024 na," a commenter added.
Megan has yet to comment on the pregnancy rumors again.
In 2022, the beauty queen talked about her fears of getting pregnant. "I think the unknown is scary, 'di ba? 'Di pa naman nangyayari sa akin. There will always be that fear pero whatever happens, happens in my life. If it's there, it's there. IF it's not, then tatanggapin ko rin."
The Miss World 2013 titleholder married Mikael in January 2020 after dating for nine years.
