Megan Young, Mikael Daez 'filled with so much love' after welcoming their first child
Megan Young and Mikael Daez have officially welcomed their first baby.
Young announced her happy news in a heartwarming video, revealing she had given birth. The video features a touching compilation of photos from her pregnancy journey.
After her 39th week, the actress and former beauty queen revealed a picture of her and her husband holding their baby boy, who was born on May 20.
"Welcome to the outside world, our little one! It’s been a week with him and we’re filled with so much love," Young wrote in the caption.
For Daez's part, the actor took to his own Instagram account to post a video compilation of moments leading up to their child's birth.
"An explosion of overwhelming emotions. New chapter unlocked," he wrote in the caption.
What's even more special is that their bundle of joy is a palindrome baby or those who are born on a date that reads the same backward as forward.
In the comments section, many of their fans showered them with their heartfelt congratulations.
Young previously opened up about how she was hesitant about welcoming a child as it was a big responsibility.
"Getting pregnant is always a risk. Sabi nila it's a choice and it's a risky thing for the human body. I guess I'm afraid of complications for myself and for the child if I ever do get pregnant. That's my number one fear, getting sick or dying from having a baby," she told her husband in their podcast.
"My body change is something that I am scared of because I don't know how my body will react to pregnancy so that's a very unknown kind of thing to me, even though I've had friends and family get pregnant in the last couple of years. I'm just scared of the unknown," she added.
Nevertheless, Daez assured her that he'll be there to support her no matter what, saying, "We're going with the flow, and it's really up to Bonez, because like you said, you are the baby carrier, and I just tell them that I'm just here to support."
The pair tied the knot back in 2020 after being together for a decade.
