Renowned parapsychologist and lecturer Jaime Licauco passes away at 84

Renowned parapsychologist, lecturer, and former journalist Jaime Licauco has passed away. He was 84. 

On Facebook, his grandson, Kapuso actor David Licauco, announced Jaime's passing. The Pulang Araw star posted photos of himself with the "wisest man he knew."

"Always chasing greatness, always sharing his wisdom. Thank you for the life talks, the lessons, [and] the power of your mind. I'll hold them close, always. Rest easy, Lolo," he wrote in the caption. 

Philippines' foremost author on inner mind development

Born on July 25, 1940, in San Juan, Jaime was an author, lecturer, and parapsychologist. He obtained his Master's in Business Management degree as a scholar from the Asian Institute of Management and his Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Philosophy and English from San Beda College in Manila. 

In the past 25 years, he wrote 17 books and articles on inner mind development, creative and intuitive management, paranormal phenomena, and Philippine mysticism, making him the country's foremost author on such topics. 

Additionally, he co-wrote Intuition at Work, published in San Francisco, California.

A recognized advocate of Holistic and Complementary Medicine, he served as a speaker for various medical organizations, including the American Academy of Family Medicine, the Philippine Society of Family Medicine, Manila Doctors Hospital's Monthly Medical Forum, the Philippine Neurological Society, and the Philippine Nurses Association, to name a few. 

Jaime also had 25 years of experience in middle and senior management roles across various Philippine firms, primarily focused on human resources, management consulting, and leadership development. He delivered lectures to top executives across the Philippines and globally, including regions such as North and South America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Aside from being an author and lecturer, Jaime was a journalist. He anchored the radio program Inner Mind on Radio over DZMM for 21 years and DWIZ's Kapangyarihan Ng Isip, which ended in 2015.
