Here's why Son Ye-jin covers Hyun Bin's face with stickers in their social media snaps

Son Ye-jin has shared why she covers her husband Hyun Bin’s face with stickers whenever she shares photos of them together on social media.

The actress talked about her recent family trip to Okinawa, Japan, and the US when she appeared with Ji Chang-wook and Nana on Netflix Korea’s YouTube video titled "[Hong.Geon.De]." While they were centered around their child and could be tiring, she said traveling together with them made her happy.

The conversation then turned to her social media posts, particularly the photos where Hyun Bin’s face is covered with stickers.

When asked whether it was her own choice or an act of consideration for her husband, Son revealed that the decision actually came from Hyun Bin.

“I say, ‘Can’t I just post it?’ and he says, ‘Cover me up.’ So I always cover his face,” she said in Korean, drawing laughs from the crowd.

Son also talked about having a separate Instagram account where she shares more casual glimpses of her everyday life. 

"We already share so much posts with our fans officially, but everyday things like this aren't always pretty. So I wanted to share something fun and natural," she said. "A lot of people have alter egos, so I thought, 'Maybe I should try it just for fun?' But even that ended up in the news." 

Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin met while working on the 2018 film The Negotiation and later starred together in the hit drama Crash Landing on You. They tied the knot in March 2022 and welcomed their first child later that year.

Son is currently starring in Netflix's The Scandal, alongside Ji Chang-wook and Nana.
