Singer Ronnie Liang says he was 'pissed off' after being urged to do porn films
Singer and Army Reservist Ronnie Liang said that he had been offered to do porn movies, but decided against it.
In a Facebook post along with a photo of his bare torso, Ronnie shared that he had been "offered and urged" to portray lewd scenes.
"I did not sacrifice and study hard all these years only to show my private parts in public—Nakakahiya," the multihyphenate shared. Ronnie recently finished his Master’s Degree in Management, majoring in National Security and Administration from the Philippine Christian University in August.
"Without trying to brag, I am already an Army Reservist Officer, a pilot, a Master's degree holder, a Brand Ambassador of some companies, and other government agencies," he added. "Madami pa po ako pwedeng gawin at pag ginawa ko yan madaming mawawala sa akin.
He added that acting in a porn film would go against his beliefs as a Christian.
"I am not perfect, super rich, or super famous, but to me, fame and money are only temporary. Self-respect and the respect of my colleagues in and out of showbiz are forever more vital to me," Ronnie continued.
Referring to his swimsuit photo, he quipped that that would be the only skin that he could show for now: "Hanggang ganito lang po ang pwede ko ipakita."
Liang's latest full-scale singing project is the 12-track album, Para sa Kapayapaan, which was inspired by his time as an Army Reservist. He also shared that the 2017 Marawi Siege made him realize that he wanted to volunteer for the Philippine Army.
