Gwendolyne Fourniol raised the Philippine flag once more at the ongoing Miss World competition after she made it to the Top 23 Talent semifinalists.

The Filipina beauty queen from Negros Occidental announced via her Instagram stories that she was able to qualify for the competition's Miss World Talent portion, where aspirants show off their abilities in singing, dancing, among others.

Other queens who made it include Guatemala, Trinidad and Tobago, Puerto Rico, Botswana, South Africa, Tunisia, Portugal, Estonia, Northern Ireland, Malta, Hungry, Poland, Romania, Wales, Finland, India, Mongolia, Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, Gibraltar, and Indonesia.

While it is not yet known what talent Gwendolyne will showcase should she move further up the round, she previously shared in the "Fast Talk" of her introduction video last year that she learned how to play the violin during the pandemic.

Gwendolyne making it to the semifinals of Miss World Talent comes a week after she became one of the Top 25 finalists of Miss World's Head-to-Head Challenge.

She impressed the jury with her speech that put a spotlight on education as part of her Beauty With A Purpose advocacy.

"Today I speak before you to advocate for the Sustainable Development Goal no. 4 which is to ensure inclusive and equitable education for all, and promote lifelong, lifetime opportunities," she said.

"This is what education is all about. It is to destroy the cycle of poverty and to open doors to opportunities to a brighter future for individuals and communities," she added.

Gwendolyne is vying to win the highly coveted blue crown at the 71st Miss World on March 9. The competition began on Feb.18 in New Delhi, India, and will end with Karolina Bielawska of Poland crowning her successor.

Actress Megan Young is the first and only Pinay winner of the Miss World title. She won the competition in 2013.
