Halsey announces engagement to 'Victorious' star Avan Jogia

Halsey and Avan Jogia are now engaged! 

The 29-year-old singer revealed the news on Thursday, Sept. 12, after correcting an account on X that referred to Avan as her boyfriend. 

"***fiancé Avan Jogia," she wrote.

The announcement comes after Halsey responded to engagement rumors with the 32-year-old actor-musician during her interview on the red carpet for MTV’s 2024 Video Music Awards.

“I hope so,” she said when E! News asked whether they would see wedding bells in the future.

“[A]van is the best. He’s like one of the greatest things that’s ever happened to me. And, you know, every single day that I get to spend with him is one where I just feel like I’m with my best friend [...],” she continued.  

The Ego singer also hinted that her three-year-old son Ender, with ex-boyfriend Alev Aydin, has developed a strong bond with Avan.  

“They’re best friends too. They’re inseparable,” Halsey happily shared.  

Halsey and Avan first sparked dating rumors in September 2023 when she was photographed kissing the Victorious star in Los Angeles. A month later, the couple took it on Instagram by posting carousel photos of them wearing matching black latex Halloween costumes.
