Victor Consunji wrote his partner Rachel Carrasco a heartfelt birthday message looking into 20 years "of love" and "of waiting."

In an Instagram post on Sept. 17, the businessman shared a carousel that included a portrait of Carrasco, their couple photo, him carrying their baby girl, and a family photo that includes his teenage son, Connor, whom he shares with ex-wife Maggie Wilson. (Wilson announced their separation on Sept. 27, 2021, after 11 years of marriage.)

"20 Years…. of memories… of love… of conversation… of silliness… of happiness… from a distance… or hand in hand… a friendship… a soulmate… a family… 20 long years of waiting… and hope… and even loss and grief…. All of which makes it seem like yesterday," Consunji wrote in the caption.

"20 of the best years to today, that I’ve known you… unconditionally loving… yet strong minded and firm. from your 18th birthday to your birthday today… 20 YEARS of driving me crazy in all the right ways," he continued.

"And I’m asking you for a lifetime more. HAPPY BIRTHDAY my love," he added.

In the comments section, some social media users were quick to do the math.

"Twenty years of memories and love. Sa 20 years na 'yan, saan dun ''yung lugar ng ex-wife mo? Grabe. Ang sakit ng post na ito," one user said.

Another user asked, "So meaning, mas matagal mo na sya kilala kesa sa ex-wife mo? Just asking, well, anyway, happy birthday."

Based on Consunji's post, he and Carrasco first met in 2005 and five years later, he went on to marry Wilson.

In a 2014 interview with GMA News, Consunji admitted to "stalking" Wilson, saying, “I found her stunning when I first met her! By our first date, I knew I was gonna marry her,” he said. “It’s a feeling that you get that I didn’t have before with anybody else.” The interview didn't give a specific date when they first officially met, but noted that Wilson was still with her then-boyfriend when she met Consunji through common friends.

Wilson and Consunji's separation

After Wilson announced her separation from Consunji, the ex-lovers aired their dirty laundry on social media and filed cases against each other.

In September 2023, Wilson accused Carrasco of paying influencers for a smear campaign against her lifestyle company, Acasa.

The following month, her 64-year-old mother, Sonia Nales, was arrested for carnapping. She claimed that Consunji orchestrated the arrest.

Caught in the crossfire of the former couple's feud was Connor, who had been staying with Consunji since their separation. Wilson claimed that he was keeping their son away from her.

Consunji later filed a petition for a Temporary and a Permanent Protection Order against Wilson in an attempt to prevent her from communicating with Connor until he turns 18, as she was a "threat" to his mental and physical well-being. But in January, Wilson shared the "good news" on Instagram Story that the family court denied Consunji's petition.

Last July, Wilson, in an Instagram Q&A session, was asked if she was still mad at Consunji and Carrasco, to which she responded in the negative.

"I genuinely want the best for everyone, especially the kids," she said. "I just wish the same could be said in return. Life's too short for grudges[,] and frankly, bitterness is terrible for your skin."
