Cup of Joe to go on hiatus after their December concert
Cup of Joe fans brace for a break: The OPM band has announced an upcoming temporary hiatus.
During their Oct. 30 Halloween event, "Sandali Sessions: Ikaapat na Yugto," the band announced they will take a break after their upcoming "Cup of Joe: Symphony" concerts on Dec. 3 and 4 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“That concert is gonna be our temporary goodbye concert,” said Gian Bernardino, the band’s lead vocalist.
In full One Direction costume, they performed a cover of Night Changes for the heartbroken crowd.
“Hindi naman sobrang goodbye,” Bernardino assured. “Andiyan pa rin naman kami.”
The band will be focusing on themselves during the break and knows that their fans will still be there when they return, with Bernardino promising that the band will “come back stronger.”

Bernardino also remarked that Cup of Joe had a “good 2025-2026” run together.
Their upcoming concert, “Symphony,” will be performed with the 32-piece ensemble, the Orchestra of the Filipino Youth. While their Dec. 3 show has sold out, tickets are still available for the Dec. 4 performance.
Cup of Joe, hailing from Baguio, currently consists of Bernardino, Gabriel Fernandez, Raphaell Ridao, CJ Fernandez, and Xen Gareza, who formed the band in 2018. The band is known for its emotional hits, having broken through to the mainstream with their songs Multo, Tingin, and more.
Recently, they submitted their song Sandali to be considered for Best Asian Pop Performance at the 2027 GRAMMY Awards.
