Are we expecting an OT4 solo comeback this year? BLACKPINK's Rosé is set to sign an exclusive contract with THEBLACKLABEL!

Citing a report from NEWSEN, Korean Entertainment media outlet, Soompi said Rosé is in talks to ink an exclusive contract with THEBLACKLABEL, founded by producer Teddy Park.

In response, the label said, "We are currently discussing signing [an exclusive] contract with Rosé."

Teddy produced many of BLACKPINK's hit songs since the girl group's debut single, Square One, including their record-breaking songs Ddu-Du Ddu-Du and Forever Young.

In 2017, Park also wrote and produced the girl group song, As If It's Your Last. He is also behind BLACKPINK member Jennie's first single, Solo.

Aside from producing songs for the girl group, THEBLACKLABEL houses big names in the K-pop industry, including BIGBANG's Taeyang, Jeon Somi, and Zion.T, as well as actors Park Bo Gum and Lee Jong Won.

In December 2023, YG Entertainment announced that all BLACKPINK members, Rosé, Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo, have renewed their exclusive contracts for group activities only.

In the same month, Jennie established her own label dubbed Odd Atelier (OA), while earlier in February, Lisa launched her own talent agency called LLOUD.

Meanwhile, Jisoo also started her own talent agency, BLISSOO.

Rosé debuted as a solo artist with the single album R in March 2021, following Lisa's LALISA in the same year and Jennie's Solo in 2018.

The Korean-New Zealand singer also found success in the K-pop industry with her hit single, On the Ground, which reached the top five on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart and set a record as the highest-charting song by a female K-pop soloist on the US Billboard Hot 100, the Canadian Hot 100, and the UK Singles Chart.

Moreover, as a global ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent, she became the first Korean idol to attend the Met Gala in 2021 with former 2NE1 member CL.
