Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis reunited on set for the sequel of the fantasy-comedy film, Freaky Friday

Disney Studios shared the photo of the two on Tuesday, June 25, who were posing in front of the opposing doors of their trailers.

“The Colemans are back and coming to theaters in 2025! The sequel to Freaky Friday is now in production!” Disney wrote in the caption.

Lindsay first confirmed that the sequel was happening last March, saying that she and Jamie Lee are “excited” for the project.

Some of the returning cast include Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Mark Harmon, Lucille Soong, Chad Michael Murray, and Rosalind Chao.

Joining the production are Maitreyi Ramakrishnan from Never Have I Ever, Sophia Hammons, and Filipino-Canadian actor Manny Jacinto

Freaky Friday tells the story of a strained relationship between a stressed-out mom and her rebellious teenage daughter. But after they magically switch bodies, they're forced to navigate their swapped lives and work together to switch back before it's too late.

The cult classic film grossed $160 million in theaters worldwide, as per the Variety report.
