Lindsay Lohan confirmed that she and Jamie Lee Curtis are reuniting for a sequel to the 2003 fantasy comedy Freaky Friday, which is now a cult classic.

In a guesting over SirusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Lohan was asked whether a Freaky Friday sequel could be in the works, to which she responded positively.

“It is. Yeah,” she said.

She, however, refused to discuss the story timeline, saying, “I won't say that yet. I don't want to say too much."

She said she and Curtis are “both excited” for the project.

Lohan and Curtis reunited in November 2023. They shared a selfie on Instagram, exciting fans who have long been waiting for a sequel.

In May of that year, Curtis manifested a Freaky Friday 2, saying, "It’s going to happen. Without saying there’s anything officially happening, I’m looking at you in this moment and saying, ‘Of course it’s going to happen.’ It’s going to happen."

Freaky Friday is about a mother who has a bad relationship with her teenage daughter, but they are forced to work together after they magically switch bodies.

It earned Curtis a Golden Globe nomination for best actress.
